There's a good chance you've come across Inspired Actions Co. in one of a few different ways.
Maybe you bought something from our original online shop. Maybe you've seen us on social media. Maybe you've listened to our podcast, Hot Flush Happy Hour, or come along to one of our women's workshops.
Or perhaps you're reading this thinking, "Actually, I have no idea who these two women are."
Either way, we thought it was time we properly introduced ourselves — because Inspired Actions Co. has changed quite a bit since we first started, and so have we.
So, who are Kat & Tori?
We first met when Tori was working as an Office Manager at a real estate agency and Kat came on board as the Property Manager. We clicked pretty quickly, and loved working together — and, as seems to happen whenever the two of us get together, we were always coming up with ideas. Some were sensible. Some were probably better left as conversations over coffee. But we clearly had a habit of thinking, "Wouldn't it be great if we…"
We went on to work together again at another real estate agency, and later at a psychology office, so our friendship and working relationship has actually been developing for quite a few years. Eventually, one of those "wouldn't it be great if" ideas became Inspired Actions Co.
The beginning of Inspired Actions Co.
The business we have today isn't quite the business we started with.
Back in 2020, Kat had the idea of creating an activewear business for women of all shapes and sizes. But the idea was bigger than just clothing — she wanted to create something that encouraged and empowered women. Our motto became:
Inspiration for your mind, body and soul.
So we decided to just start. We looked at drop shipping products, then changed our minds, and eventually launched an online shop selling a range of wellbeing products — teas, candles, affirmation cards, journals and other things designed to bring a little more wellbeing into everyday life. We even created combinations like our Sweet Dreams sleep tea, paired with a lavender Sweet Dreams candle.
It was a lovely little business. But over time, we realised that what we were really passionate about wasn't necessarily the products — it was the people. The conversations. The stories. The feeling of helping someone see themselves or their life a little differently.
So, like many businesses — and many people — we evolved.
From Products to People
Today, Inspired Actions Co. looks very different.
Tori is a Life and Wellness Coach, with additional training in menopause coaching. Her work focuses on helping women who are navigating change, feeling a little lost or disconnected from themselves, or simply know that something needs to change but aren't quite sure what comes next.
Kat works in Energy Healing and Breathwork, supporting women to explore their physical, emotional and energetic wellbeing.
(Quick side note: we don't just work with women — we can help anyone. Kat also works her magic on animals too, yes, actual animals. But midlife women are who we built this for, and that's where our hearts are.)
Together, we run women's workshops, and one of our goals for the future is to create retreats where women can step away from everyday life for a while, reconnect with themselves and spend some time simply being.
We recently ran one of our workshops, and it was such a wonderful reminder of why we love bringing women together. There's something incredibly powerful about sitting in a room with other women and realising that the things you thought were just you are actually things so many other women are experiencing too.
And while our individual approaches are different, there's a common thread running through everything we do: we don't believe women need fixing.
You're not broken because you're exhausted. You're not failing because you don't have everything figured out. And you don't have to wait until you're completely burnt out to decide that something needs to change.
Sometimes you just need some space — space to stop, to listen to yourself, to work out what you actually want. And sometimes you need someone alongside you while you do it.
Then came Hot Flush Happy Hour…
Somewhere along the way, both of us found ourselves navigating perimenopause. And we started talking — a lot. About hot flushes. Brain fog. Changing bodies. Sleep. Hormones. Mood. And all the other things nobody seemed to have adequately prepared us for.
But the more women we spoke to, the more we realised something: a lot of women didn't actually know what was happening to them. They thought they were going crazy. They thought they were just stressed. They thought they were getting old. They thought they were the only ones struggling.
We wanted to change that. So we created Hot Flush Happy Hour — our podcast where we talk about menopause and perimenopause in a way that's informative, honest and hopefully makes you laugh occasionally.
But it's not just about menopause. Because being a woman in this stage of life isn't just about your hormones — it's also about relationships, family, work, confidence, identity, changing bodies, empty nests, new beginnings, ageing parents, finding yourself again and figuring out what the hell you're doing with the next chapter of your life. And sometimes you just need to talk about all of it.
Meanwhile… life has been happening
While we've been building Inspired Actions Co., we've also been living our own very real lives.
Between the two of us, we're mums to seven kids — Tori to four adult children, and Kat to two adult boys and a teenage girl. So on top of everything else, there's always a healthy dose of parenting a mix of ages and stages thrown in (adult kids come with their own kind of chaos, as it turns out).
Kat has also been on her own wellness journey this year, working on her health and finding a rhythm that actually feels sustainable — which, if you've ever tried to prioritise yourself while running a business and raising a family, you'll know is no small thing.
Tori also turned 50 — one of those milestones that makes you stop and take stock. There's been a lot of reflection around what this next chapter looks like, not trying to become someone completely different, but working out who you are now and what you want your life to look like.
And there have been big family changes too. Tori's son (her youngest) has recently joined the Navy, which has brought all the usual emotions that come with watching your children grow up and head off into the world — pride, excitement, a little bit of worry, and the realisation that life keeps moving, whether you're ready for the next chapter or not.
And yes, we're both still navigating perimenopause along the way. We're not sitting here with all the answers. We're living it too.
So, what's next for Inspired Actions Co.?
We're still figuring some of that out. And we're okay with that.
One thing we've learned through building this business — and through life — is that you don't have to have the entire road mapped out before you take the next step. Sometimes you just start. Then you learn. You change direction. You try something else. You grow.
And that's actually what we want Inspired Actions Co. to represent:
It's okay to change your mind. It's okay to want something different. It's okay to start again. It's okay to not know exactly what's next. And it's okay to become a different version of yourself along the way.
And that's where this comes in…
We're going to start sharing something with you each week — a regular little dose of real life, wellbeing, honest conversations and things we're learning along the way.
Some weeks will be about perimenopause, menopause, nutrition, sleep or hormones. Some might be about confidence, relationships, identity or purpose. Some will be about wellness, breathwork or energy. And some might simply be about the weird, wonderful and sometimes downright ridiculous things that happen as we get older.
Because menopause is part of the story. But it isn't the whole story. You are still you. And that's the conversation we really want to have.
So whether you've been following Inspired Actions Co. since the tea-and-candle days, you've discovered us through Hot Flush Happy Hour, you've attended one of our workshops, or you've only just found us — we're really glad you're here. And we'd love to get to know you too.
What's happening in your life right now? Are you navigating a big change? Starting something new? Feeling a little lost? Excited about what's next? Or just trying to remember why you walked into the kitchen?
Whatever it is, we'd love to hear from you. This is just the beginning.
